2012 Jaguar XF

 
The new Jaguar XF powered by a 2.2-liter AJ-i4D turbodiesel that can memeberikan Power output 190PS with 450Nm torque figures to give an impressive muscle performance expected of a Jaguar. This unit has a low friction piston and water-cooled turbocharger to increase efficiency plus active engine mounts and modifications to the sump and the block to reduce NVH levels.
The result is not only the most fuel-efficient engines Jaguar has ever seen, but one that offers a level of refinement is equivalent to the previous 2.7-liter V6 diesel fitted and all the performance expected of a Jaguar sports sedan. This car can do 60mph sprint in 8.0 seconds reaches, the car will go to achieve a top speed of 140mph. However, the unit still manages 52.3mpg on the EU combined cycle - making it the most economical Jaguar ever - and emits just 149g/km CO2 and Euro Stage V compliant.

 
Headlights on the Jaguar XF is now combining the two functions of HID xenon technology that allows them to much slimmer and more compact while still providing outstanding beam resolution. They also incorporate LED daytime running lights arranged in a pattern Jaguar signature 'J-Blade' typical instant recognition. The tail lamp has been fully refurbished and is now extending to the middle of the boot lid. The new units are now fully LED to stop functioning, and the indicator lamp and give Jaguar XF signature typical night behind. That separates them is a revised boot lid finisher with a lower edge of the gloss black for a clean appearance. Closure of the boot also features on all models.

The Jaguar XF incorporates a formidable amount of technology but in true Jaguar fashion it is integrated seamlessly into the function of the car and controlled through a central seven-inch Touch-screen with a new polarising filter for better contrast viewing.

In order to reduce driver workload, additional switches have been added below the Touch-screen to instantly switch between different functions while new graphics are based on those in Jaguar's flagship XJ. The main driver instrument cluster is now a full-colour TFT unit for greater resolution and clarity.


Jaguar XF also features a cutting-edge technology. Three new audio systems are offered on the Jaguar XF, which are all significant upgrade on those previously available. This heading is 1200W, 17-speaker premium set-up, from the British audio specialists Bowers & Wilkins, which boasts a concert hall like the sound reproduction. All the audio system can be determined by the hard-drive navigation system that combines satellite-based 'virtual' multichanger CD that allows the owner to 'rip' 10 CDs at a time into the memory storage of cars and play them as if they were physical music medium. The system also now offers a number of different options for connecting an MP3 player, two USB ports, one of which is specific iPod and Bluetooth connectivity that allows music to be streamed from the smartphone.
