Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has launched an all-new Mazda CX-5 compact crossover SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Mazda CX-5 comes with a breakthrough SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY. This car has the best fuel efficiency in its class. Mazda CX-5 has a charming design, the efficiency of unpredictable, dynamic handling, versatile functionality and safety classes.
Developed solely by Mazda, SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY not a package or trim level, but it covers everything, embedded philosophy that get more power, torque and miles per gallon will not necessarily come at the cost of fuel, the economic design and keamanan.Mazda CX-5 is the first vehicle who receive all components SKYACTIV. Under the hood lies broader SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine. At 13:1, SKYACTIV-G has the highest compression ratio in the world to mass-produced cars. With all-new 4-2-1 exhaust system, 2013 CX-5 provides 155 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, torque was measured at 150 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm and redline is achieved at 6500 rpm. With either transmission choice in SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual or a SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic, 2,000 pounds of towing capacity and optional all-wheel drive, 2013 CX-5 actually offers a little of everything for everyone.

The Mazda CX-5 development team focused on form, performance, function and texture, investigated all points of contact between the driver and the vehicle, and examined how to make them more pleasing. Then they prioritized ergonomic design and concentrated on the most essential elements in order to provide a "purer" sense of driving pleasure.Following the Mazda MINAGI concept car that was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the CX-5 becomes the first production model to feature Mazda's new design theme, 'KODO - Soul of Motion'. Chief Designer, Masashi Nakayama says: "With the CX-5, our focus was on expressing a strong sense of vitality and agility. We looked at videos of cheetahs; their agile footwork and how they use their entire body as a spring to accelerate rapidly and change the direction instantly. They emanate great energy throughout their entire body. Inspired by their efficient yet beautiful movements, we aimed to push the SUV appearance to new levels with KODO design language."
To maintain the safety of drivers Mazda CX-5 offers several features including six airbags (front, side and side curtain-full), four-wheel disc brakes, anti-lock brakes (ABS), daytime running lights, active headrests, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Also available Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system, Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFLS) with auto-leveling bi-xenon headlights and rear view camera with the guidelines range.
