2012 Volkswagen E-Bugster Concept electric motor

Volkswagen has introduced the VW E-Bugster concept based on the New Beetle. Exhibition in 2012 North American International Auto in Detroit, it was revealed that VW E-Bugster have a more aggressive appearance, is seen on the lower roofline, wider C-pillars, blacked-out A-pillars, and a new set of fancy 19 "wheels alloy.

VW E-Bugster Concept is powered by an electric motor capable of delivering 85 kWh (115 hp). This car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 10.9 seconds. This motor has been made lighter. His weight dropped to 80 kg (176 lbs). The battery pack has more capacity. That is 26.5 kWh in Golf, and now it's up to 28.3 kWh. Volkswagen says that it allows a variety of at least 110 miles.

VW Concept E-Bugster can do fast charging, recharging only takes approximately 35 minutes. Fast charging is possible thanks to a new Combined Charging System developed in collaboration with Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche, Ford and General Motors / Opel. This allows charging through single-phase AC source (such as the U.S. 120-volt or 230-volt domestic outlet of Europe) or through an ultra-fast source of DC at a certain filling station.
