2013 Honda Accord Coupe concept

 
Honda Accord Coupe will offer three all-new powertrains. 2.4 liter, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC ® four-cylinder direct injection engine, producing over 181 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission of the new (CVT), which utilizes innovative cooperative control system for a very good acceleration and responsive shifts. Honda Accord four-cylinder also experienced an overall improvement in fuel economy.
while the 3.5-liter, 24-valve, SOHC, i-VTEC V6 engine capable of producing an increase in horsepower and more torque than current models. This engine is paired with a new 6-speed transmission or an automatic 6-speed manual transmission is available. equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission will utilize Variable Cylinder Management Honda ™ (VCM ™) technology and is targeted to achieve class-leading fuel economy.

 
Lineup for the 2013 Accord coupe will also feature the first application of the plug-in two-motor hybrid system to the new Accord Sedan. Honda two-motor hybrid system moves continuously through three modes - all-electric, electric and gasoline direct-drive - to maximize efficiency and fuel economy. for driving all-electric mode, the 2013 Accord Plug-In Hybrid will use a 6 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and 120 kW electric motor to achieve a strong all-electric range of about 10-15 miles in city driving scenario and a top speed of 62 mph . Fully charging the battery is only 4 hours with 120-volt and 1.5 hours with a 240-volt power. whereas for the hybrid gasoline-electric mode, the Accord i-VTEC powered by a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder Atkinson cycle, paired with an electric Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT). For more efficient high-speed cruising, Accord Hybrid Plug-In can be involved in the direct-drive mode.
